2022 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix Updates

Qualifying Results

After a total of 215 races, Sergio Perez has achieved his first ever pole position after posting a time of 1:28.200 in the qualifying session of the 2022 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. Starting second and third are the two Scuderia Ferrari drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz. Verstappen to start in forth position followed by Ocon.

FP3 Results

Charles Leclerc leads Verstappen by 0.033s in the final practice of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. Leclerc posted a time of 1:29.735s, making a clean sweep of P1s in all three practice sessions of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.

Kevin Magnussen and Haas continued to impress with a FP3 finish of eighth place and posting a time of 1:30.262.

Lewis and Russell continued to show some struggles with the Mercedes as they both finished outside of the top ten positions.

FP2 Results

Charles Leclerc again had posted the quickest time ahead of Max Verstappen in the second practice for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, however, his session had ended early after he had touched the wall at Turn 4 with 20 minutes remaining.

The Mercedes duo of Hamilton and Russell showed an improved time compared to FP1, with the two finishing in fifth and sixth respectively.

Nico Hulkenberg, the substitute for Sebastian Vettel who is currently unavailable due to testing positive for COVID-19, had finished sixteenth in FP2.

FP1 Results

Ferrari Charles Leclerc picked up exactly where he left off from in Bahrain as he set the quickest pace in the first practice session of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix with a time of 1:30.772. Lerclerc’s excellent performance was closely followed by reigning champion Max Verstappen who slower by 0.116s.
